Spring is finally here! We had snow, rain, cold temperatures and a lot of freezing cold wind in Belgium. I’ve had enough of this bad weather. But luckily the weather forecast seems to be good. Hello bare legs, sandals and sun! In the meantime, I’m already trying to make my home Spring-proof. A change in season is the perfect time to update your home. And what’s better than some online shopping, while we wait for those sunny days? Because shopping is always a good idea! I’ve selected my favourite trends and items for you![one_half]
Add light to your home
Black, move over! When Spring arrives, it brings beautiful light colours such as white and light pink. Colour trends for Spring 2018? Definitely light pink and petrol blue. During Spring days are getting longer, and how happy I am! But that doesn’t mean we don’t need lighting. I love ambient lighting to make it cozy in the evenings. This way I hold that Spring feeling during my evenings.
Lampen24 is one of my favourite webshops to get inspired. They have over 30.000 different items. I’m usually very picky when it comes to lighting and home décor, but Lampen24 has a wide range with different styles and it wasn’t difficult to find something I like. Time to share my favourite items!
#1: Minimalistic hanging lamp Silvares
This minimalistic lamp from Lampen24 immediately caught my attention. The design is simple but it’s a true eye catcher! It provides this industrial look, something I absolutely adore! Grey is such a beautiful colour for Winter or Summer. It goes well with ‘everything green’ at home and it adds that Scandinavian feeling to my place. A must have![/one_half] [one_half_last] [/one_half_last] [one_half] [/one_half] [one_half_last]
#2: Hanging lamp – Amber
Using soft colours is the best way to add some Spring vibes to your home decor. This beautiful and modern hanging lamp adds some colour to your life! As mentioned before I like a clean white Scandinavian interior, and a colourful lamp adds the finishing touch to it. It’s simple yet so chic.[/one_half_last] [one_half]
Nothing says Spring like plants. This jungle theme has been a real trend the last couple of years. The climbing plant is a new must have according to Pinterest.
You don’t need green fingers, because this houseplant is nearly impossible to kill. 😉 Have you spotted the Monstera plant? It’s one of the most popular ones right now and I can totally understand why. This plant has huge leaves and adds jungle vibes to every room. Add a beautiful bouquet with different flowers from Bloomon to it, and your interior is Spring- proof! And, these plants go well with the industrial lamp I picked from Lampen24. Perfect, right?[/one_half] [one_half_last][/one_half_last] [one_half] [/one_half] [one_half_last]
On a tight budget
Home decor can be quite expensive, but who says you have to pay a lot of money? One of the latest trends in decoration world is wall art. Dessenio is one of the companies who offers posters with all kinds of designs. They are stunning, and quite affordable! Tip: if you don’t want to spend money on posters or other home decor: make it yourself. You’ll probably find an old frame somewhere in a dusty corner of the attic. Choose leaves of your favourite plants and use them to fill the frames. It’s a simple and cheap idea, but you’ll have an amazing frame to hang on your wall![/one_half_last] [one_half]
Rose golden details
Rose golden is still a huge trend, yay me happy! I’m obsessed with everything rose golden and pink. Combine this with my other obsession, velvet, and it’s pure perfection. This velvet pink couch would be my new best friend. It looks luxurious and adds a feminine touch to every room. Besides that I’m also a big fan of rose golden candles. I have a huge collection but there’s always room for one more. 😉 Also, have you noticed how pretty everything would be together? The pink couch, the grey minimalistic lamp from Lampen24 and some huge plants. It would be perfect![/one_half] [one_half_last] [/one_half_last]
