HOLA I Coffee, kitchen, tapas & bar

Discovering trendy restaurants, coffee bars and concept stores is really my cup of tea. Whenever I have long breaks in between classes I try to discover new places. Last week we visited HOLA in Hoeilaart, this is a hidden culinary gem if you ask me. Together with other bloggers and journalists I had the honor to taste the new menu at HOLA’s first press lunch.

*Warning, you might get hungry seeing these delicious dishes.

HOLA
Coffee, kitchen, tapas & bar

HOLA is known for its great mix of styles in interior design. This combination of different styles, colors, and patterns is modern and fresh and gives this place a certain vibe. If you’re lacking inspiration go and visit this place and I’m sure you’ll find it. They aim to create a homely feeling, it’s all in the details: different plates on the tables, differences in silverware, this makes me feel at home. It doesn’t have to be perfect.

We started with an aperitif and Lebanese bread with hummus.  This was just the beginning of a culinary adventure and immediately set high expectations.  I tasted some of the most unexpected flavor combinations which I would never think of.  The menu is very special and includes flavors from around the world. The main focus is on tapas but they do change the menu on a regular basis. Next week they’re organizing a Greek evening which includes a whole Greek menu.
