Sticks & Bowls I Leuven

Hooray! At the end of August, there will be a new hotspot in town. Sticks & Bowls will serve poke bowls (or pokébowls?) and pokérittos. This new healthy food concept is orginally from Hawai. I had never heard of pokébowls before, which makes me even more excited about it. Today I’m telling you all about it!

Opening of the first poke bar in Leuven

Apparently there is a ‘bowl trend’ going on. Açai bowls, pokébowls (pronounciation: pokay)…  The poké concept is the new food trend at this moment. Poké means “cut into pieces” and refers to the way the fish and vegetables are cut. It’s possible to eat every dish with sticks. (I’m not really good at it, so it’s about time to learn how to eat with sticks). A pokébowl contains raw fish, delicious chicken or spicy tempeh and lots of vegetables and extra toppings. Yep, it’s delicious and looks amazing! Instagram-proof photos if you ask me.  Pokérittos contain the same ingredients, but are rolled up, like a spring roll. :-)) Take away, delivery or eat in? Everything is possible!
