Last week Sofie from Philosofie and I attended the Kiehl’s birthday bash. My grandmother loves Kiehl’s and thanks to her I’m one of the Kiehl’s lovers too. I do remember those times when my grandmother came back from holidays and she brought a Kiehl’s lip balm with her for us. Unfortunately these lip balms are not available in Belgium. Well this is for certain: they do know how to organize amazing events @Kiehl’s. This brand is celebrating its 165 birthday and the entire Kiehl’s team wants to share this hapiness with us. I’ll tell you all about this amazing event in today’s post.
I didn’t really know what to expect, the Red Fish Factory was the location for this event and if I have to be honest, I had never heard of that place before. When we arrived we were really impressed by this building and the decoration. Two nice ladies dressed up in the most amazing outfit welcomed us at the entrance. I was even more impressed when I entered the building. They did a very good job on the interior design. The lighting, the floor and the huge balloons: it all fits together A beauty expert waited for us and gave us a skincare consultation and of course, I took some time to make some shots of the products.
The concept was very American inspired, Kiehl’s was founded in New York in 1851 and everything at this event referred to the country of origin. Although I’m trying to be vegetarian I did want to taste a few appetizers as I was extremely hungry that evening. The food was of course very American and included a lot of meat. 🙂 There was a gin and wine bar, a hotdog stand and a popcorn maker.
The surprise of the evening was without doubt the product wall. When going home, people were allowed to pick one product of choice. Earlier that evening the beauty expert told me that the ‘midnight recovery concentrate‘ is by far the first choice of a lot of customers. I was of course really curious and had to test this product. There will be a complete review about it soon.
I had an amazing time and would like to say thanks to the entire Kiehl’s team for making this happen.
