One of the most often asked questions I get : “what should I post on social media?” A lot of entrepreneurs have no time to manage their social media and they often don’t know what they should post. Not sure what to post on social media? Today I’m sharing some great ideas and you’ll never run out of social media content ideas again.
Before I get to the different topics you could post, there is one thing that you should keep in mind. Entrepreneurs tend to focus on the commercial aspect of their business, but social media is about being personal and showing that side of the company. Find that perfect balance between commercial and personal content. Try to offer a wide range of different subjects, keep it interesting. Don’t forget to create a content calendar to stay organised.
Okay, let’s start. This is my list of #killerideas.
You know what to say: great employees make a great business. This is the personal side of a company. You can introduce your followers to 1 employee every month. Share their great qualities and be proud of what they do! A lot of entrepreneurs tend to focus on the commercial aspect of their business but that’s not what social media is all about. Social media is all about creating a community of people who like your business.
We all love behind the scenes. Give your followers al little sneak peek of your latest projects, photoshoots (…) It’s another great way to share the personal side of your company. In this way you can let them know that some great projects are coming up.
A blog has so many advantages for companies. It’s the best way to increase traffic to your website and to provide your readers with plenty of information. Share the link of your latest article on social media. Use tools such as Google Analytics to see how many people click on the link to your article.
There are certain moments such as national holidays and events that could be very important for your company. Think of New Year, Mothersday, Christmas etc. Mothersday could be a very important day for gift shops, fashion shops etc. This is exactly why a content calendar is important. Whenever I have a new client, I create an online content calendar and I list up all the different holidays and topics that could be relevant. It’s important to stay organized and in this way you have a clear view of all the upcoming events and important dates.
Last but not least: share some of your best projects to give customers a clear view of the different possibilities. A wellness center could post some great interior photos, an architect should post some great photos of his/her latest projects. Want to see some of my latest projects? Check them out over here.
