Life is so short, time flies. The last 3 years flew by before I could even notice it. I’ve officially graduated and I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in June. It was time for a new adventure and I started looking for a job. This was harder than I could have imagined. I sent emails to about 400 different companies and 90% didn’t respond. Okay, July and August are quiet and a lot of people are on holiday, but if companies have vacancies on their websites, I do expect them to respond to my mails. The companies that did respond to my mails, said I had a lack of experience. I completely understand it but how I am supposed to gain experience if nobody wants to hire me?
I believe you should follow your dreams. I had enough of companies telling me I don’t have enough experience so I started my own business (after my dad convinced me that this was the right thing to do 😉 ). In fact: I do have a lot of experience, I learned everything by myself, I only have a lack of ‘working experience’. I already worked on a lot of projects, you can find more information about them over here.
Now I can officially call myself a social media manager and I love my work. Social media has created a lot of opportunities for companies. Creating an online visibility is important. It’s not only about being present on social media, you should also create high quality content (adapted to your target group and your goals). A lot of companies don’t know how to use social media and that’s why I’m here to offer advice. My creative mind (and myself) like to take the social media presence of clients to a higer level.

I do respond to emails (in contrast to all the companies I’ve send an email to) . If you should ever need me, you can always contact me by mail: firstname.lastname@example.org 😉
